How to: Connect to PinStack IRC Live Chat Room - PinStack.com

LOGIN to PinStack IRC from BB

This is a free app and uses data instead of sms:

1. Go here in your BB browser to download the PinStack IRC app:
http://pinstack.com/irc.jad

2. Install and open the application.

3. Enter the menu go to / “Configuration”.

4. Enter your PinStack Username. Make sure check message box, then save.

6. “Save” / go to menu again and hit / “Connect” Wait for 15 to 60 seconds.

7. That’s it your done! Welcome to Pinstack IRC Chat !

LOGIN via PinStack using web browser

1. Go to http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/chat.php

2. Click where it says: To connect with your web browser click here.

3. You should now be logged in and ready to start chatting! Enjoy!

These are the only two method of connecting that we provide support for.

heh.. unfortunately for some of us.. Like Myself have been using mIRC for the turn of the century.

But.. finally one on a bb heh .. mIRC here i come.!!

You can also log via a standard mIRC program, chatzilla to but didn't try, ask rabbie303 he used it, but the server is Absurd-IRC and the channel is #stackchat.

Great writeup! Would it be possible to chamge the .bmp's to jpg and add the img tags so that it can be viewed directly in this thread?

ok in chatzilla try this. Once it is installed open a new tab and type this in the address bar or click on the link:

irc://irc.absurd-irc.net/stackchat

this should connect and autologin to the room. I just tried it on three machines and it works yay. This is with firefox ver 2.0.0.9
