Perhaps someone else already posted this, but there are some new toys and updates here.

The first new toy is the Google Updater Mobile edition, which automatically checks for updates to its blackberry icons and apps (not sure if notified via push or other).

New also is a search "app" of sorts in lieu of a launcher to a url of google mobile homepage. Also I downloaded a Picasa launcher link, which I hadn't known to exist.

Updated was my news icon.

Google needs to step up with some launcher icons for its other mobile offerings. I'm going to try to teach myself how to do so, but wouldn't google be wise to get me some quick icons to calendar, notebook, docs, etc.

(PS: Maps, Gmail app, and gtalk all appear unchanged from the versions I had recently downloaded.)

Where did you see the updater? I don't see it on that page.
