We take into account several factors when rating and reviewing BlackBerry software and freeware, including interface design, features, performance, stability, ease of use, efficiency, overall value, installation and uninstallation, memory footprint, compatibility, etc. All of which make up our five attributes below.

We rate software based on five attributes:
Interface - It the software GUI user-friendly AND aesthetically pleasing?

Functionality - Is the output of the software high quality? Does it accomplish said tasks thoroughly and efficiently?

Features - Does the software include a lot of features, and are they relevant to its core purpose (useful)?

Stability - How well does the application run? Is it well engineered & uses minimal device resources? Does it install easily AND uninstall completely?

Value - Considering the factors rated above and the average retail price of the software, we rate the relative value considering the current software market.

The final rating of each program is determined by sub ratings based on those attributes. Applications are rated on a scale of one to five stars, one being lowest and five the highest. Software rated five stars we recommend very highly. At a later date we will list Four Star awarded software. However, we will not log, or list applications with lower scores.

Updated versions of already awarded BlackBerry softwares will be checked against their existing versions and their ratings modified if necessary. Some may be removed from the above list if updated versions fail to meet past criteria.

Please note: In most cases we review trial versions and freeware and not the full commercial versions of software. Also, customer support is not included in our rating process.
