Hello all,
In case you're not in the loop, I just spoke with RIM's T-Support and they confirmed a problem with their Blackberry Infrastructure. This is affecting all of North America apparently. I first noticed this after a user reported that she couldn't do a look up. I adminster our BES so I looked and just about all 200 devices had messages pending (all various carriers).

I was told that there is no ETR currently.

Yeah i could not connect to my aim and then i saw on tv on CNBC that there was a widespread RIM outage. I am still getting email though i think. I am on sprint.

Actually I just sent a test email and it has not gone through so both email and internet does not work right now.

Same here... been down since about 10something this morning. The odd thing is that T-Mobile also magically canceled my BB data service somehow... The fact that this is posted, though, helps to confirm that its not just me... woot woot.

it lasted less than am hour, and most ppl did not even notice. Does it happen often, i am not sure what often for you is, but for me it is not often at all. I say that because once a year could be too many for some.

It's been just over 2 hours for us and we are still down. Hopefully they get this fixed for the rest of the nation.

This is a _very rare_ event.

Think about it......what computer network is NOT subject to going down?

All one has to do is research RIM & BlackBerry to find that they are known for being the _MOST_ reliable of all. The FBI, ATF, FAA, NTSB, NASA and many other government agencies rely on them because they are proven reliable & secure.

I'm with hayden, I believe it's nothing more than the massive number of new subscribers being added to the system everyday, other companies should be so lucky as have such huge sales increases ...

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm actually amazed at the quality of service considering the growth of subscribers. They do need to be careful as the media will paint a very ugly picture by late tonight/early tomorrow morning.

Still Having Issues With Mines, Cant Browse The Internet Or Get Any Of My Messages, My Edge On The Top Right Is All Uppercase But Still No Luck At The Moment.
