I got MFRadio up and running on my 8130, however it appears as though the Howard Stern link is no longer working, sorry.

BTW, Verizon's CDMA network is AWESOME for streaming radio, very little lag

Pearl

I have a pearl on alltel net work. Is there an ap that will let you either browse on the net and stream actual live streaming broadcasts of stations? I'm trying to connect with a couple of cumulus owned stations...

BBC World Service
http://66.225.205.5:8000

Social Crime Radio (uncensored comedy streams)
So far I have heard Vintage George Carlin, Dennis Leary from the 80's, Sarah Silverman, Larry the Cable Guy...
http://69.5.81.71:7600

Pittsburgh Emergency Services
http://209.62.40.2:8000

Updated Howard Stern stream 24-7 from Crystal One radio

Does anyone know of software that will stream WMA's? Most of the radio stations in Cleveland, Ohio are streaming on the net, however I believe they are using either Windows Media Encoder to stream their content, or some other type of streaming .wma server.

i dont believe the current 8300,8310,8320's can stream WMA's or any other format. the only way you can get streaming audio is if you subscribe to the small number of XM stations that are available.
my understanding is the major OS update will allow streaming audio.

Well if I can play .wma files, I would think I could stream them as well. Meaning, I took an .mp3 and converted to .wma I then copied the .wma to my storage card, and it plays fine on my Curve 8320 running 4.5.0.18.

For the heck of it, I then took the .wma file and copied out to my website. I then opened the link in the BB browser, the media player opened and the song began to play.

Coast to Coast is a very popular program. The thing is the live show is 10p-2am eastern time, so that is your best bet finding a live stream. Other streams do play re-broadcasts, however most of them are usually filled to the max with users (which makes you unable to connect. )

I don't have access to shoutcast.com at work, I'll try and check later this evening. Usually I went to shoutcast.com (or used shoutast directory within WinAmp) to search for "Coast" or "UFO". I recall there being a few different streams, they're just full most of the time unfortunatley.

whichever radio station i load up in mwebplayer, it only plays one second at a time and then pauses for 2 seconds, ive messed with all the buffering settings and it still does one second intervals, i could set my watch by it.

im running 4.5.0.42 on a 8310 /w EDGE

Could not update my original post...

Swantzilla just found a way to stream radio through the web browser using Moodio. Read all about it here:

I tried Moodio and still have no luck. I have not been able to get my curve (8330 Alltel) to stream any radio with any application.
