hey guys !
Sorry I`m new here if I ask some questions which are asked already, I used SEARCH button also, but could not find info which needed
I could not remove that "Data Connection Refused" message, and I could not use wap/gprs yet on my blackbary 7230 from T-Mobile (SW ver4.0.0.185,, do I need to upgrade it??)
Actually I`m not using T-Mobile SIM card, this phone has been unlocked and I`m using my home country SIM card and I know all the settings of its wap/gprs ...
But problem is that I could not enter gateway IP and proxy settings, as I can not see the fields to enter them in Options -> TCP
Theres only:
APN:
Username for APN:
Password for APN:
I entered right access point, (user/pass is not needed for our Network Provider) but no luck .. still this message "Data connection refused"
P.S. What does BIS, BES ... etc mean ?
Thanks much in advance !

Solved, by instrucion posted on forum, (changing net selection mode from automatic/manual/automatic) .. but the same message if u turn off and on the handheld
Should we use this "trick" at every reboot of handheld ?
P.S. BIS = BB Internet Service, BES = BB Enterprise Sevice

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Hey beq, where it says APN, add wap.voicestream.com
That should take care of your data connection problem. And where it says name and password. Just leave those blank. Let me know if this works for you.

beq, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan? That's what you need to access the web, email, and 3rd party applications. Then send the service books to your BB from your carrier's site.

I dont know,
This phone is from T-Mobile, unlocked and now working on different network, which is not listed above ...
Phone can make & recieve calls as well, but .... no gprs
Do these blackberry devices not allow gprs/data connections from "Unknown" networks (in this case my home country network) ?
Or if yes, could u tell me the steps to make it activated ?
Thanks in advance !

Does anyone know what the APN details are for Vodafone South Africa? I upgraded to 4.1 and lost my settings. Called Vodafone and they dont even know what im talking about. As soon as you mention BB they get very confused.
